Education & Expertise
After my medical studies, I specialized in anesthesia-resuscitation. Subsequently, after an additional year of training, I obtained the Special Professional Title in emergency medicine. During my career, I worked as an anesthesiologist and as an emergency physician. Since 2013, I have been an emergency physician at Sint-Trudo Hospital in Sint-Truiden, where I also served as department head for five years. I obtained my acupuncture diploma at BVAA (Belgian Association for Medical Acupuncturists), where I also took the Auriculotherapy course. Over the years, I have also deepened my knowledge in orthomolecular nutrition at the BIOK institute (formerly the Faché institute). There I completed the basic module in Orthomolecular Nutrition and various masterclasses. My interest also extends to phytotherapy ("herbal medicine"), which appeals to me both in the Western tradition and in TCM. As a member of BVAA/ABMA and the professional association BBVAA, I gladly share my knowledge in basic acupuncture training.
